Toplita
Toplita is the cultural and economical centre of Harghita county, is situated in north-west of Gheorgheni’s area and is an important connection point to Borsec spa. Mures river and its affluences form deep valleys in volcanical formations which increase the interest for this zone. Being a small city Toplita could offer relax far away from the urban life style’s whirl. The serenity, landscapes’ beauty, richness of flora and fauna, numerous mineral water springs create a more and more touristical interest. Platon pension is situated in Toplita, at 20 km away from Borsec spa, 60 km from Durau spa and 45 km from Rosu Lake, on the superior Mures valley, in Giurgeeului depression (Calimani-, Giurgeu- ,Gurghiu Mountains), at 2km from city’s centre in Bradul spa (Banffy) where is a pool with thermal water (29 C) oppened in sommer time. In the winter work 2 ski pistes equipped with teleski and night-light instalation. The access to pension is asphalted.
